Catherine “Cat” Griffin, passed away on November 4, 2026, as a resident of Noland Extendicare in Dothan, AL. The staff there grew fond of her and many had a motherly relationship with her. Cat was born on Sept 2, 1944, to Willie and Mary E. Webb of Ozark, AL. Cat was a devoted mother, cherished grandmother, and beloved sister.
Cat was raised in Ozark, AL and graduated from D.A. Smith High School in 1962. After high school she married Louie Griffin Jr. and moved to Newark, NJ to start her life as a wife and mother who was survived by her son Stefan A. Griffin (Karen) and daughter Tanya B. Griffin. Cat is survived by her grandsons’ Brandon A. Griffin and Taylor A. Griffin and great-granddaughters Abigail L. Griffin and Olivia T. Griffin. She is also survived by her sister Willie Jean Martin, nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
Cat was preceded in death by her mother and father Willie and Mary E. Webb and her brother Mitchell Webb Sr.
Cat enjoyed spending time with loved ones, cooking, decorating her home and tending to her plants. She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses for many years.
To honor her wishes, there will be no service.
