Charles Odell Green, a resident of Abbeville, Alabama, passed away Thursday, May 21, 2026, at Crowne Health Care in Eufaula. He was 83 years old.

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, in the New Zion Freewill Baptist Church cemetery in Tumbleton, Alabama, with Rev. Shane Traylor officiating and Glover Funeral Home of Eufaula directing. A visitation will be held on Monday, May 25, 2026, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. in the Glover Funeral Home Chapel in Eufaula. Flowers will be accepted.

Charles was born on September 7, 1942, in the Beat 8 community in Barbour County to the late Jerry William and Fannie Mae (Grubbs) Green. He spent most of his life in Bakerhill, Alabama until moving to Abbeville in 1973. Charles was known as a master carpenter and worked his entire life in construction. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing.

He is preceded in death by his parents, loving wife, Jeanette Whitehead Green; five brothers, Junior Green, Derrell Green, Walter Thomas Green, Ed Green, and Gordon Green; two stepsons, Randy Baker and Rickey Baker; grandson, Bryan Galloway.

Survivors include his son, Kenneth Green; daughter, Janet Green; two stepsons, Dennis Baker and Wayne Baker; stepdaughter, Jancie Galloway; two sisters-in-law, Arlene Pourchot and Maurine Green; several grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
