HOUSTON COUNTY:
HONORABLE HOUSTON COUNTY DISTRICT-CIVIL COURT JUDGE BENJAMIN LEWIS: Each morning has initial appearances. These are people who have not made bond. They are required to be seen by a Judge or Magistrate within 48 to 72 hours “of their arrest”. Judge Lewis follows the law even when on holiday he or another Judge comes to the Houston County Jail for the initial appearances.

HONORABLE HOUSTON COUNTY DISTRICT– CRIMINAL COURT JUDGE BENJAMIN LEWIS: Has District-Criminal with 12 cases for Possess Burglar’s Tolls, Retail Theft, Rec Stolen Prop 1st, X 2, Possess Contr Subs X 2, Use/Possess Drug Par, Drug Trafficking, Sexual Abuse 1st X 2, Rape 1st and DV Strangulation/Suffocation. In Domestic Relations he has 10 cases for Protection from Abuse. He also has District Civil with 9 cases for Unlawful Detainer.
