43rd Annual C. Mac Johnson Farmers Market Day ~ Saturday, July 13th
MONTGOMERY, AL -- Old fashioned summer fun awaits families, friends and neighbors at next Saturday's Farmers Market Day, featuring some of the state's best homegrown produce and tons of fun for everybody.
Among the many exciting events planned are a Watermelon Eatin' Contest and a Corn Shuckin' Contest. All participants are encouraged to see if they can “Out Shuck” Commissioner of Agriculture & Industries John McMillan.
Other activities include: live music, an antique tractor show, craft vendors, pony rides, and much, much more.
All activities are free of charge to the public and will take place at the Montgomery State Farmers Market on Federal Drive next to Garrett Coliseum.
The event honors the late C. Mac Johnson, a driving force in the development of the State Farmers Market in 1971. Farmers Market Day will offer something exciting for everyone to enjoy so get there early to find the best selection of your favorite fruits and vegetables.
