A Special Thanks!Newton Elementary School is in need of a place for students to gather on rainy days. This has been a need for some time. Through hard work and dedication it looks like Newton Elementary is getting close to building that multi-purpose facility it so desperately needs. On Friday, October 7th some very important people met on the proposed site for this new addition. Steve Clouse, Alabama House of Representative for District No. 93, presented Newton Elementary School with a monetary gift of ten thousand dollars. This is the third check received from Mr. Clouse. The first check of twenty-five hundred dollars followed by the second check of seventy-five hundred dollars makes the total received an astonishing eighty thousand dollars this year. The money received is specifically for the multi-purpose facility. A special thanks to Michael Teal (Principal), Steve Clouse, Donny Bynum (Dale County Schools Superintendent), Shellie Hanks and Don McKnight (Newton Alumni).
