Food Art with Jim Smith
Come learn to create beautiful works of art using fruits, flowers, and vegetables. Learn how to cut them and assemble them into works of arts. Everything is provided EXCEPT you will need to bring an apron, a small cutting board, and a serrated edge knife. The best part of the class is we EAT what we CREATE!
Led by renown chef Jim Smith, you are sure to have a fun time in this class!

Introduction to Drawing and Painting
Learn the basic mechanics of drawing (line, shape, perspective, shadowing, detail) to move your work of art to a painting with watercolor or acrylics in a short amount of time. All supplies provided and you will leave with at least one complete painting and 2 sketches suitable for framing and displaying in your home or office. Great class for beginners or those who just started. High School students also accepted in this class.

The Cultural Arts Center will be holding Madrigal Vocalist Auditions, Sunday July 29 2:00-4:30 and Monday July 30 6:30-8:30. Callbacks will be Tuesday July 31 6:30-8:30. Auditions are for 8 vocalists, 4 men and 4 women, to sing the lead parts and act the roles of royalty in the upcoming Madrigal Dinner to be held in December at the Cultural Arts Center. Vocalists will be performing a capella roles and we will be searching for a bass, baritone, alto, alto soprano, and a soprano 1. Auditions for “The Boys Next Door”, Southeast Alabama Community Theatre’s fall production, will be held Sunday, August 26, 2:00-4:30, Monday, August 27, 6:30-9:00, with callbacks on Tuesday, August 28, 6:30-9:00 at the Cultural Arts Center. EVENTS for Adults: Wiregrass Talent Quest Auditions will be held August 19-23 in the CAC Auditorium. Nearly 100 contestants will be performing their talent in front of 5 area judges for a chance to be chosen to go the finals in September. Performers are truly from the Wiregrass area with over 22 communities represented by their performance. Seating is limited and guests will be rotating according to the acts.
