Columbia is celebrating the beginning of the Christmas Season on Saturday, December 6, 2014. The parade is at 6:00PM with lineup starting at 5:00PM. If you would like to participate in the parade please email us at [email protected]. We would love to have everyone come out and join us either in the parade or the activities after the parade. Columbia Historical Society will be selling soup, chili and BBQ sandwiches in the former Sister's restaurant beginning at 5:00 PM. The Better Homes and Garden Club will have desserts for sale. Santa will meet the children in the Sunken Garden after the parade. Houston County High School band will be performing and Scott Gamble will sing a medley of Christmas Music. Enjoy the window decorations on South Main Street especially "A Christmas Village" created by Jerry and Dot Tew consisting of 165 houses displayed in the Old Bank Bldg.
