Is there a reason why the former Dothan Police Officer who was involved in a hit-and-run accident is still listed as a witness in cases in our local court systems? How in the world can he testify in a court of law?!?! He caused an accident. He did not know whether the injured party was severely injured or dead and instead left the scene. Wasn't he was paid by the taxpayers in your city to uphold the law and to provide safety for the community. He was arrested by the Alabama State Troopers a bit after the wreck. He refused a breathalyzer, which means he is guilty of DUI. And then he resigns....as opposed to being fired....which could possibly be taken as an admission of guilt because he put up ZERO fight to keep a job he had for 16 years. My friends and I over here in Coffee County would get in a hit and run accident, leave the scene and wouldn't have that option. Our job would be over the minute we left. He epitomizes INjustice by his actions. Thank GOD for the good ones on the DPD!

Yeah DHNgirl if you ever lost someone you loved to a drunk driver you would be singing a much different tune I assure you. ALSO if you are going to quote sc ripture quote the whole verse not the part you like. To finish it says you will be judged as you judge. Judging is a daily part of our lives. dhngirl - Dec 07 2011 12: AM 09:57
Ok, now....... not sure why in the world you decided to post something like this. "Civilian Parrish" is a GOOD man who made a terrible MISTAKE!!! He has paid for his mistakes!!!!!!! He did NOT put up a fight when his 16 year career had ended. To the "Coffee County" people you are referring to, good job that you would be held accountable for your mistakes. In my opinion, he did admit his mistake and poor decision by his actions. Good people make bad decisions everyday, therefore get over yourself. Have a Merry Christmas and spend time with your family and love them instead of persecuting others for things past. After all, forgiveness is a MUST do in today's society. "Judge not lest ye be judged." Have a wonderful day.Beverly
