Dothan High Students Take Stand Against Tobacco

After school on Wednesday from 3:30 PM until 5:00PM, students from Dothan High took a stand against tobacco. They held posters encouraging drivers to honk if they stand against tobacco use. Each year 7300 people in Alabama die from tobacco related illnesses. Flags on the lawn represented some of these death. A gong was sounded every 72 seconds representing a death every 72 seconds as a result of tobacco use. Here are some pictures of the event without captions.
