E.L.E.T.E. Professionals Coronation and Heritage Trail this Sunday.

The 8th Annual Heritage Trail and Coronation sponsored by E.L.E.T.E. Professionals (Enlightened Ladies Empowering Through Education) is scheduled for March 31- April 1, 2012. The two day weekend event will kick-off with the Heritage Trail Coronation on Saturday evening at 6 p.m. at Honeysuckle Middle School auditorium. Tickets for the coronation are $5 and you may get tickets from any member. Young ladies from around the Wiregrass in 9th and 10th grades (“Julani”) who were invited to participate in self-awareness and community service activities will be introduced to the Wiregrass community. The purpose of the Heritage Trail is to increase awareness of the achievements and culture of African-Americans in our local community. The Trail Tour kicks off on Sunday with a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at 1:30 p.m. at the corner of Bunche and Aaron Street off of highway 431 North. The driving Heritage Trail Tour begins at 2 p.m. and will feature young ladies gracing area lawns.
