LifeSouth Community Blood Centers faces an emergency need for all blood types and urges the community to donate blood to help patients in local hospitals.First United Methodist Church will host a community-wide blood drive on Sunday, January 26 from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm in the East Parking Lot located at 1380 W. Main St. in Dothan. You are invited to come donate and help your local hospitals. “One of our biggest missions at First Methodist is giving back to our community by donating our time, resources, and gifts. What better donation do we have to offer those around us than the gift of life itself?” says Katie Martin, Director of Communications at First United Methodist Church. The current shortage is from an increase in need at area hospitals and a decrease in donations throughout the holiday season. January is always a difficult time of year, but this year has been significantly worse, affecting blood centers across the country.Thank you for helping and donating the gift of life
