Donna Jones Mitchell, a local hospice nurse has started a mentorship program for for teen females ages 10 to 18 years old. The Ever Lee Jones Teen Summit Mentorship Foundation was founded in November of 2021 and became incorporated April 19th 2022. They currently have 28 members and each member has their own mentor with 24/7 access. They meet monthly to discuss conflict resolution, volunteering, giving back, daily living skills, goal setting, And any assistance that the girls may need with things going on in their life. Their mentors check in weekly to see if they have any need and just to talk with them. They have group outings and the girls have a sense of belonging. Donna reaches out to the community after her long hours as a hospice nurse and on her weekends. This is a very near and dear group for these mentors and we would like to reach out to as many teens as possible.
