Summertime means more leisure time for many people, and more leisure time means more time for reading, listening to music or watching movies. The Friends of the Enterprise Public Library’s Double Deal Book Sale from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 29, offers members an opportunity to stock up on fiction and non-fiction books, CDs and DVDs at half price for all items $1 and above.
“Double Deal” refers to the special offer of a three-month trial membership for $5, in addition to the half-price sale.
“This is a members-only sale, but anyone can join by visiting the library prior to the sale or that day,” said Ginger Hanson, Friends board member. “Membership applications are available at the library circulation desk or on our website, www.friendsofenterpriselibrary.org.”
In the last fiscal year, book sales enabled the Friends to contribute over 9,500 to help meet many of the library’s needs, including 34 summer reading programs and workshops attended by 1,146 people, 395 items for the library’s collection, software that is essential for the library’s operations, 2,500 library cards and 7,000 bookmarks.
