GDOL hosts “Building a Bridge to a New Career: Strategies for Teens and 20s” online chat Wednesday, Feb. 29
ATLANTA – The Georgia Department of Labor (GDOL) will host an online chat about “Building a Bridge to a New Career: Strategies for Teens and 20s” Wednesday, Feb. 29. The chat will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the GDOL website www.dol.state.ga.us.
The 90-minute, question-and-answer chat is called “Ask T.E.D.” (Type, Explore, Discover). It will focus on teenagers and young adults who are seeking employment, job training, or college attendance. A panel of experts will provide information on how to: break into the job market, match interests and talents with careers, obtain funding to attend school, write resumes, locate advisors to help determine career paths, plan and conduct job searches and create achievement portfolios, and move beyond the internet to locate jobs.
