DOTHAN, Ala. – The Dothan-Houston County Substance Abuse Partnership will be at Troy University Dothan from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 17 as part of the Great American Smoke Out.
This is a day set aside for smokers to quit smoking for just one day, in the hope they will quit for good after they see how much better they feel. The DHCSAP will be on campus to speak with students and faculty about smoking, and help them learn how they can give up smoking for good.
Tobacco remains the single largest preventable cause of disease and premature deaths in the United States, and as part of its mission, The DHCSAP works daily to educate area residents about how they can live a healthier smoke-free life.
