This year the Headland Daylily Festival will be held at Bush Gardens II & Kirkland Daylilies rather than in the downtown Headland area. 27 years ago Robbie Bush and Mary Kirkland, along with others, started the Festival to introduce and promote the daylily to this area. This year Headland decided not to have a festival and Mike Bush, owner of Bush Gardens and son of Robbie Bush, decided to have it in his garden. Robbie just celebrated her 92nd birthday and is really excited to see that the tradition will be continued. There will be farm market vendors, blue berries, prizes, a daylily queen and princess, and of course, ferns and daylilies. The Festival is May 25th. It will be held at Bush Gardens II 2656 Hwy 134 West Headland, AlabamaEveryone come out and enjoy the festivities!!
