L-3 Wins Fort Rucker Maintenance Contract

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- L-3 Communications (LLL) announced today that it has been awarded a contract with a one-year ba se period and four one-year options, with an estimated contract value of $1.98 billion, from the U.S. Army Contracting Command – Redstone on behalf of the U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Life Cycle Management Command (AMCOM) for rotary-wing aircraft maintenance and logistics support at Fort Rucker, Ala. Under this contract, L-3 will provide maintenance, logistics and other related sustainment support for over 600 helicopters used by the U.S. Army Aviation Center of Excellence and the U.S. Air Force Air Education Training Command.
