Farm Programs at Landmark Park
(DOTHAN) On Saturday, July 28, at 10 a.m., Landmark Park will celebrate national watermelon month with a watermelon harvest and sampling.
Watermelons are an excellent source of vitamins A, B6, fiber and potassium and the most consumed melon in the United States. Over 1200 varieties of watermelons are grown across the world. Landmark Park will harvest and sample Moon and Stars, Black Diamond, Charleston Gray, Crimson Sweet and Jubilee.
Registration is required. The programs are free with paid gate admission, which is $4 for adults and $3 for kids.
Landmark Park is a 135-acre historical and natural science park located on U.S. Highway 431 North in Dothan, Ala. For more information and to register for a program, contact the park at 334-794-3452.
