“I came to the U.S. because I wanted to learn more about the American culture and improve my English. But I’ve learned so much more than I ever expected and had the opportunity to do things I never would have been brave enough to do back home” said Walter Hemmingsson. A native of Sweden, Walter is hosted by Daniel Strickland of Ozark and attends G.W. Long High School. “This year I’ve run my first 5k, attended my first football game, and participated in a production of "Grease" with friends I’ve met this year” said Hemmingsson. “It has been a real pleasure having Walter in my home. I’ve learned more about the world around me and have loved sharing my America with him,” said Strickland. "I’m glad I took the chance to host him.”Walter is an exchange student with EF High School Exchange Year.
