Eighteen years ago the congregation of Temple Emanu-el began an annual tradition of Neighbor Night where members of area faith ba sed organizations were invited to attend one of our Sabbath services. Periodically during the course of the worship, the rabbi offers an explanation of the service, and there is time set aside for questions. The purpose of Neighbor Night is to promote understanding between the Jews in our community and our neighbors. The members of Temple Emanu-el would like to invite all of our neighbors to our annual celebration of Neighbor Night which will be held on February 15th beginning at 7:00 pm. Temple Emanu-el synagogue is located at 188 North Park Avenue in Dothan. We will be worshipping together a regular Friday night service, followed by a reception we call “Oneg Shabbat” or literally the Joy of the Sabbath. Please feel free to contact the temple office at 792-5001 if you have any questions. We look forward to seeing many of our neighbors on the 15th.
