Older Americans Day Celebration
SARCOA’s annual Older Americans Day celebration will be held May 2 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Eastgate Park in Dothan. Tickets for the event are free, but must be ordered by 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 10. Attendees must be 60 years or older to qualify for the free lunch and prizes.
Older Americans Day features entertainment, food, prizes and sponsor booths. This year’s theme is “Back in the saddle again…the old wild west.” Attendees are encouraged to dress up in western-themed attire for the costume contest.
Event t-shirts are available for purchase.
Attendees should bring a hat, sunglasses, a lawn chair, and fishing gear and bait if they plan to fish.
In case of rain, the Older Americans Day celebration will be relocated to the Dothan Civic Center.
