The art of theatre can have a curious effect on a young mind. Magical effects, costumes, and sets can only enhance the original creativity required from the mind of a thespian. Enrollment is underway for summer theatre classes at Southeast Alabama Community Theatre, where students can develop skills in thinking creatively to solve problems, work on a team, practice dance or a song, or learn about physical space and how it is used to communicate without words.
Camps include beginner-level creative play sessions for ages 4-6, weekly sessions for beginners and experienced students ages 7-14, and specialty classes for students looking to develop in areas like costuming, performance, dance, and music. SEACT offers sessions throughout June and July in a variety of dates and times to match any summer schedule. All classes must meet minimum enrollments, and deadlines vary based on camp date.
