Tickets are on sale for Southeast Alabama Community Theatre’s The Play That Goes Wrong. From Mischief, Broadway masters of comedy, comes the smash hit farce. Welcome to opening night of a university drama society’s newest production, The Murder at Haversham Manor, where things are quickly going from bad to utterly disastrous. This 1920s whodunit has everything you never wanted in a show — an unconscious leading lady, a corpse that can’t play dead, and actors who trip over everything, including their lines. Nevertheless, the accident-prone thespians battle against all odds to make it through to their final curtain call, with hilarious consequences! Part Monty Python, part Sherlock Holmes, this award–winning comedy is a global phenomenon that’s guaranteed to leave you aching with laughter! This production is directed by Chris Manasco, and presented in part by the Alabama State Council on the Arts, MH Yoga, Coleman World Moving, and SunSouth Bank.
The Play That Goes Wrong is on stage Aug. 23-27 at the Cultural Arts Center (909 S Saint Andrews St., Dothan), 7:00 PM nightly. The expected performance time is 90 minutes, including a brief intermission. Lobby doors open 60 minutes prior to curtain. Reserved seating begins 30 minutes before curtain. Purchase tickets at SEACT.com. If available, tickets will be sold at the door.
