Renaissance Headland is hosting the Seventh Annual Patriotic Concert on July 2, 2013 at 7:30p.m. The yearly event, held on the square in Headland, is free to the public. All we ask is that you bring your lawn chairs or blankets so that you can enjoy the concert in comfort. We will provide the fans to keep you cool.
The concert features the Tri-State Community Orchestra with members from the Florida Panhandle, Southeast Alabama and Southwest Georgia. The orchestra was founded in 1995 and are fifty plus members strong. They provide a wide range of patriotic and pop music that both young and old can enjoy.
This yearly concert is dedicated to all Military personnel, all police and firefighters, past and present, who, through hard work, protect us, our families and neighbors through sacrifices we cannot even imagine.
Renaissance Headland is a not-for-profit organization with a 501 (c) (3) tax deductible status. This group helps promote Headland, the people and the businesses around the community and surrounding area by utilizing the square with entertainment and beautification projects. Examples of our projects on the square are the memorial park benches, rummage sales, this concert and a reimbursement program for business improvement.
Renaissance Headland is open to all Headland residents and meets the third Thursday, 6:00p.m. in the council chambers at City Hall. There is no membership fee. All we ask for is input into projects new and old for the Headland area, and occasional volunteer duties such as the concert.
