Alabama Parent Education Center presents Skills for Effective Parent Advocacy and IEP. This workshop is to increase parent’s knowledge about the requirements of special education and related services, according to the laws and to increase their advocacy skills and improve educational outcomes for their children. The workshop will take place Wednesday, August 15, 2012 10 AM – 1 PM at the Houston-Love Memorial Library, 212 West Burdeshaw St. in Dothan. This session is free to the public. Pre-registration is required. Please call 334-567-2252 or toll-free 866-532-7660 and leave your name, telephone number, child’s disability and age, and mention: “Code # 84.” Deadline to register is August 3. AL PTI is a Project of the Alabama Parent Education Center (APEC).
