Troy University Department of Arts and Sciences, Dothan Police Department and Houston County Sheriff's Office will hold their first annual Troy University Forensic Science Summer Program on the Dothan Campus. This program is open to all Houston County and Dothan City high school students.
You will learn the background of the different sciences that make up crime scene investigation, and use that information with hands-on training in latent prints, blood splatter, bullet trajectory with lasers, murder investigation and microbiological analysis. You will also be observing how dogs find evidence in the field along with viewing the state of the art crime scene investigation equipment that Dothan and Houston County has to offer.
The program will feature 4 1/2 days of crime scene investigation on June 25 - 29, 2012. The cost for this 4 1/2 day event is $350. Please register in advance for this class. Only the first fifty students will be accepted. Please contact Troy University at (334) 983-6556 for registration.
