Members of the Rotaract Club of Troy University’s Dothan campus, which is sponsored by the Dothan Tuesday Rotary Club, played a major role in collecting $44,000 at the Fireworks @ the Fairground event to benefit the Wiregrass United Way. Club members Madison Kimbro, Heather Tindell, Chelsea Johnston, & Lori Lewis gave up a portion of their weekend to volunteer in this very worthy fundraising event. Wiregrass United Way CEO Walter Hill, said, "The Rotaract Club of Troy University's Dothan Campus was an integral part of our event. On a day when we needed so many volunteers to work many hours in the heat we were thrilled to have their participation. They helped make Fireworks @ the Fairgrounds a tremendous success." Troy University Associate Dean & Club Advisor, Dr. Carmen Lewis, said, “The Dothan Tuesday Rotary Club provides the optimal level of support for these Troy Rotaract students to engage in the business community & develop their leadership skills through acts of volunteerism."
