WCC Brings Pulitzer Prize-winning Author to Dothan

Wallace Community College is bringing Pulitzer Prize-winning author and Alabama native Rick Bragg to Dothan Thursday, March 21 at 7:00 for a lecture and book signing in the Bencze Theatre, Cherry Hall. Bragg grew up in Piedmont, Alabama. His love of stories led him to a career in journalism and ultimately a stint at The New York Times. Since leaving The Times, he has authored five books: All Over but the Shoutin’, Ava's Man, The Prince of Frogtown, The Most They Ever Had, and I Am a Soldier Too: The Jessica Lynch Story, all Pulitzer Prize nominees and New York Times Best Sellers. Bragg won a Pulitzer Prize for feature writing in 1996 and has received more than 50 writing awards in 20 years.Bragg has taught writing at various colleges and is currently a writing professor at The University of Alabama. The event is free and open to the public.
