John White states that he mailed this letter last week with no response. The word is that someone, probably the clerk, intercepted them. Some council members say they haven’t seen it. I mailed one to everyone cc’ed.

Mayor,
I have been retained by Randy and Trenton Hall regarding their defamation
published by you and others by accusing them of falsifying calls for service records in
order to increase reimbursement amounts for the members of the Cottonwood Fire
Department.
Upon their belief, you or another town official directed that calls for service records be
obtained from the 911 center in hopes of establishing your false allegations of my
clients’ crimes.
I have been instructed that unless you publish a retraction in the same method, whether
it be verbal, written or by social media, a complaint shall be made with the Houston
County Sheriff’s Department pursuant to Code of Alabama Titles 13A-11-7 and 13A-11-
163.
In addition, please accept this letter as a FOIA request for any and all documents from
any previous FOIA requests made by any persons or agencies that identifies the
individual(s) that posts the false allegations to social media under the web page
“Cottonwood Truths.”
