Cynthia Ann “Cindy” Tate, 54, of Cottonwood, Alabama, passed away peacefully on July 11, 2026, surrounded by her loving family and friends.

A Celebration of Cindy’s Life will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at Ward Wilson Funeral Home with Dr. Ricky Plummer officiating. The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until the start of the service.

Cindy was born on August 1, 1971, in Hollywood, Florida, to Jackie and Woody Bryan. She spent many years successfully running her own business, where she earned the respect, admiration, and love of her employees through her dedication, hard work, and caring heart.

Above all else, Cindy cherished her family. She found her greatest joy in making memories with those she loved. She had a passion for fishing, spending time at the beach—her happy place—skydiving, cruising, Auburn football, and just about any outdoor adventure. She loved riding motorcycles, had a need for speed, and could drive just about anything with a motor. Her adventurous spirit was matched only by her generous heart. Cindy was always willing to lend a helping hand and never hesitated to put others before herself.

Cindy is survived by her loving husband of 18 years, Carl Tate; her mother, Jackie Bryan; her stepdaughter, Morgan “Tony Munguia” Davis; her stepson, Hatch Davis; her beloved grandchildren, Davis, Caidyn, Jordon, Alex, and Whitt; her brother, Chuck “Michelle” Bryan; her sisters, Harriet Bailey and Terri “Pat” Dunn Sellers; her brother-in-law, Jimmy Tate; her aunts, Patty Morea and Tina Odem; her uncle, Jack “Debbie” Odem; her nephew, Dustin Chavis; her nieces, Kristine “Dan” McKnight, Sabrina “Charles” Ledford, and Jada “Jeff” Culbreth; cousin, Nancy Boulahanis and her children, Sophia and Christopher Boulahanis; special friends, Bobby and Diane Dean, along with many cousins, extended family members, and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Woody Bryan; her brother, Jimmy Bryan; her daughter, Amanda; her maternal and paternal grandparents; her uncle, Tommy Morea; her great-nephew, Aiden Bryan; her great-niece, Saylor McKnight; and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Irvin and Linda Tate.

Cindy’s love, laughter, adventurous spirit, beautiful smile, and unwavering kindness touched countless lives. Though she will be deeply missed, her memory will live on forever in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
