DAVID BARNES
DOTHAN… David Barnes, a resident of Dothan, Alabama, passed away Friday morning, October 3, 2025, at a Dothan hospital. He was 25.
Graveside services will be held 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at Gardens of Memory Cemetery, with Reverend Tom Chestnut officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. Wright Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.

It is with deep love and heavy hearts that we share the passing of David Nicholas Barnes, of Dothan, Alabama, on October 3, 2025.
David was a gentle soul whose quiet strength and kind spirit touched the lives of everyone who knew him. He had a soft-spoken nature and a genuine heart that radiated compassion. Though he preferred to stay out of the spotlight, his warmth and kindness always shined through in the way he cared for others.
David will be deeply missed by his mother, Elisabeth White and her husband, Gary Braswell; his father, Danny Barnes; his brothers, Dustin Barnes and his wife Carly Barnes (and their two children, Stephen and Scarlett) and Dylan Barnes and his wife, Kati Barnes (and their child, Maisley); his aunts, Elaine Ethridge (Scott) and Vicki Hatfield (Scott); his uncle, George White; and his very special cousin, Angela Weed; and his beloved canine companion, Jay. He will also be remembered by many extended family members and friends who loved him dearly.
While David’s time here was far too short, his memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him. His gentle presence, kind smile, and loving spirit will continue to be a source of comfort and peace.
David was a 2018 graduate of Headland High School. He was attending Wallace Community College, earning a degree in business administration. He worked in marketing sales.
