FT. GAINES, GEORGIA. . .Dawn Taylor Hardwick, a resident of Ft. Gaines, Georgia, passed away Tuesday night, September 16, 2025, with her loving family by her side.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 A.M. (E.D.T.), Saturday, September 20, 2025, in the Ft. Gaines Baptist Church with Reverend Jeff Hines officiating. A private interment for the family will follow in the New Park Cemetery. Holman-Abbeville Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M. (E.D.T.) Saturday in the church sanctuary.
Dawn Hardwick was born in Ft. Gaines and was raised in Edison, Georgia. She was a 1984 graduate of Calhoun County High School in Edison. Dawn was employed by Georgia Giant as restaurant manager for the past twenty-five years. She was preceded in death by her father, Burnie Auburn Taylor, Jr. and Carol Lee Joiner.
Surviving relatives include her husband, Gary Allen Hardwick; daughters, Ashleigh Jimenez (Jose), Ft. Gaines; Amanda Dileonardo (Stephen), Phenix City, AL; Felicia Bowen and Keisha Hardwick (Stephanie), all of Ft. Gaines; a sister, Diane Taylor Daniels (Garrett), Pinckard, AL; grandchildren, Jared Jimenez (Taylor), Julianna Jimenez (Jacob), Jayden Jimenez, Stephen Dileonardo and Sophia Dileonardo, Emily Bowen, Abbie Bowen, Abby White, and a host of other children who referred to her as “Bomba”; a niece, Cailtin Jones (Trey), and a nephew, Caleb McCalla (Ru), and other extended family members; mother-in-law, Dorothy Hardwick, Ft. Gaines.
