Mr. Delmer Gene Greathouse, a resident of Eufaula, Alabama, passed away in the early morning hours on Thursday, January 22, 2026, at his residence. He was 83 years old.
Memorial graveside services will be held Thursday, January 29, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Epworth Cemetery in Eufaula with Bro. John Lunsford officiating and Glover Funeral Home of Eufaula directing. Flowers will be accepted.
Delmer was born on August 11, 1942, in Eufaula, Alabama, to the late James Franklin and Lola Mae (Dykes) Greathouse. He worked most of his adult life as a logger. Delmer enjoyed the outdoors and spending time with his family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Edna Earline Greathouse; daughter, Cynthia “Dodie” Burchette; two brothers, Edward Greathouse and Billy Foy Greathouse; sister, Dorothy “Dot” Whaley.
Left to cherish his memories are his daughter; Stephanie Pittman, three grandchildren, Jackson Burchette, Molly Simpson (Zach), and Jenna Greathouse; cousin, Benny Frank Knight; nephew, Billy Greathouse; three nieces, Dottie Greathouse, Kathy Greathouse, and Doris Greathouse.
