MIDLAND CITY. . .Donna Frost Sheplar, a resident of Midland City, Alabama, passed away early Thursday morning, May 28, 2026, in a Dothan hospital. She was 69.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, May 31, 2026, in Shiloh Word Fellowship, 3498 Highway 10, Clio, AL 36017, with Pastor James E. “Buddy” Ward, Jr. and Jonathan Smith officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. Sunday in the church sanctuary. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Holman-Abbeville Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements.

Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Shiloh Word Fellowship, c/o Winelle Teal, 141 Pacific Street, Dothan, AL 36303.

Donna Sheplar was born in Batesville, Indiana. She formerly lived in Connersville, Indiana, and in Barbour County, near Blue Springs, before moving to Midland City in February 2026. Donna was an active member of Shiloh Word Fellowship where she taught Children’s Ministry. She loved and enjoyed her church that was like a second family to her. Donna enjoyed traveling to the Smoky Mountains and loved to cook for her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Verlin Frost, and her mother, Mary Effie Slover Frost. Donna was also preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Sheplar and two brothers, Verlin Frost, Jr. and John Frost.

Surviving relatives include her daughters, Michelle Martin (Phillip), Dothan; LaDeana German (Eddie), Ozark; Christina Faulk (Ryan), Ozark; Savannah Hovis (David), Clio; a son, Michael Brown (Alicia), Ariton; sisters, Ranona Chasteen (Nick), Clio; Kendra Fleming (Curt), Shorterville; and Mary Terry (Michael), Glenwood, Indiana; brothers, David Frost, Ozark; Shawn Frost (Cheryl), Liberty, Indiana; James Frost (Melissa), Samson; and Jehu Frost, Clio; a sister-in-law, Beth Frost, Williamsburg, Indiana; grandchildren, Savannah Enfinger (Spencer), Johnathan Martin (Brittany), Allissa Armstrong (Joseph), Megan Warr (Austin), Jacob Williams, Thomas “TC” Williams (Candice), Prestion Williams, Ethan Napper, Rayleigh Napper, Destiny Bell (Josh), Faith Brown (Treyton McGough), Christian Brown, Peyton Hovis, Hannah Hovis, Paisley Hovis and Shep Hovis; twenty-five great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Serving as active pallbearers will be Preston Williams, Johnny Martin, Peyton Hovis, Aaron Frost, Ethan Teal and Collin Teal.
