As the Wiregrass prepares for today’s winter storm Dothan Fire and Rescue would like to provide the following reminders for our residents.
• Based upon run volume/requests for services, responses may be delayed.
• Non-emergency requests for service may see extended delays based upon emergency responses and nature of request.
• If you use home oxygen, please check your supply, and contact your provider as soon as possible if you need more bottles. The Fire Department Does Not stock extra bottles for home exchange.
• Stay off the roadways!
• Remember to protect you Plants, Pets, Pipes and most importantly PEOPLE!
• Keep anything that can burn at least three 3 feet from any heat source like fireplaces, wood stoves, radiators, or space heaters.
• Plug only one (1) heat producing appliance (such as a space heater) into an electrical outlet.
• Keep portable generator outside, away from windows and doors, and as far away as possible from your house.
