THE SOLUTION TO AVOIDING A PLANE CRASH - Progressive Airlines, announces their maiden flight of their brand new jumbo jets. There are dignitaries galore along with the new CEO of Progressive Airlines, Bama Hussein. Like any new venture, there are unexpected problems. One minor mechanical problems is an open mike in the cockpit overheard over the P.A. system. The mike can not be turned off transmitting every word from to the passenger cabin. They decide not to delay the take off and begin their 5,148 mile maiden voyage from Japan to San Francisco. About 1600 miles into the flight, the co-pilot calls the captain's attention to another mechanical failure. The gauges show that they only have enough full to cover a little over half the distance to their destination and are losing hydriodic fluid that operates the landing gear. The landing gear will not be operational when they reach their original destination. The co-pilot suggests they make a detour and land in Hawaii.
