I would not recommend Wiregrass Spay and Neuter Alliance's services to anyone. I had my dog neutered there 1 week ago, and I have regretted this choice. He became so infected from the surgery that I had to take him elsewhere to have other procedures. On day two post-op I noticed how swollen my dog had gotten at both incision sites as well as severe bruising. He had stopped eating, could barely walk, and was listless. I called the Wiregrass Clinic where the operation took place and I was told to contact my regular Veterinarian's office. Our regular vet told me that my dog had a serious infection due to the surgery, not from any over activity on his part, or playing with his wound. The vet also stated that the operation performed was "sloppy". My dog had to have his incisions opened and drained and is on high doses of antibiotics and pain medications. I feel that WSNA is doing a disservice to animals by performing assembly-line operations on their "Spay Day". Due to their inattention to detail and more concerned with their numbers, my pet has paid the price.I recommend going somewhere else. I don't know if they didn't sterilize their equipment or if they were just sloppy. I just know to stay away. This has been such a horrendous experience.Upset Dog Mom,

We took our little female chihuahua to WSNA and she had no problems at all. In fact we were surprised at how quickley she recovered. I think they provide a great service to our community. Whoknew? - Mar 28 2012 12: AM 14:42
I used the WSNA for my male dog & had no problem, my neighbor used them for their female dog with no problem. We weren't in love with the set up but they did a great job. [email protected] - Mar 27 2012 12: AM 09:19
I have several adopted rescue animals and I can see the temptation to take your animal to them. I was considering using them myself but now thanks to your experience I will not. I will continue to use my vet whom I trust 100% for any sterilization procedures. Barbara Kromhout rooster9 - Mar 23 2012 12: AM 17:53
Would you have a procedure performed on yourself that offered a surgury day? If not why would you put your pet through that? It's not hard, it's common sense. ralph d. edwards - Mar 13 2012 12: AM 20:33
Why didn't you just take the mut to your vet from the beginning? Thanks,Ralph Edwards
