Female Arrested for Outstanding Warrants

On January 31, 2020 Jackson County Sheriff’s Office received a call from a female, identifying herself as Shahidah Hagans, and saying her phone was stolen by her husband and he was last seen behind the motel they were staying at.
A short time later the two individuals had made their way to the Pilot truck stop where they began a verbal altercation.
Deputies with the Uniform Patrol Division responded and made contact with the male half who had stayed behind and informed Deputies the female had left and was headed to the Dove Academy where they had been earlier in the day visiting and some personal items were left behind.
During the course of the investigation, it was learned Hagans had two active warrants for her arrest out of Polk County, Florida. A Deputy and an Officer from the Graceville Police Department were ultimately able to make contact with Hagans, at Dove Academy. Hagans was taken into custody for two active warrants for failure to appear.

Shahidah Hagans, 37 years of age, Resident of New York
Charges:
Failure to Appear - [2 Counts]
