UPDATE: MOTORCYCLE RECOVERED; ONE IN CUSTODY

WASHINGTON COUNTY, FL; November 9, 2022) –A motorcycle stolen from Washington County was recovered in Jackson County and lands one in jail.
On August 30th, Investigators with the Washington County Sheriff’s Office received a tip stating the stolen motorcycle had been located in Jackson County. Deputies with the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office responded to the address and confirmed the stolen motorcycle was recovered behind a storage building on the property.
Following additional leads, investigators with the WCSO were able to issue a warrant for the arrest of 30-year-old, Troy Allen Tyus, of Chipley.
Yesterday, Tyus was arrested and transported to the Washington County Jail on charges of grand theft of the motorcycle and possession of a controlled substance without a prescription.
8/26/2022-Community Alert
In the early morning hours of 8/26/22, deputies responded to a residence in the Orange Hill Road and Joiner Road area community to the report of a stolen motorcycle. Upon arrival, the information was gathered about the motorcycle and a report generated for the theft.
The motorcycle is a 2017 FZ07 Grey Yamaha Sports Bike. It has a Florida tag of MSHE18. The direction of travel is unknown.
