OZARK: Ozark Fire - Rescue has been called to the Dale County Jail to a medical emergency. The call from the jail staff was an ambulance was needed to an injured inmate.
At the time of the call it is not known if the inmate has been injured in an assault or in a fall. Reports are the inmate is breathing but unresponsive.
Emergency units are on the scene. When more information is known we will update.
UPDATED @ 3:39 PM
The patient has been transported to Dale Medical Center, non emergency. At this time we do not know the details. Efforts to reach Dale County Sheriff Wally Olson or Chief Deputy Tim McDonald have been unsuccessful at this time. NOTE: They usually call me back so I am not complaining. I understand Christmas and a lot of last minute shopping.
UPDATED @ 4:17 PM
Dale County Sheriff Wally Olson contacted us. Said the person was brought into the Dale County Jail and passed out. He was transported to Dale Medical Center to be checked.
It is believed to be an allergic reaction to being placed in jail. ( That is my definition and not Sheriff Olson's! )
