Mr. Edwin Lincoln Sims of Geneva, AL passed away on Monday, August 31, 2026 at his home. He was 59 years old. 

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday , September 7, 2026 at Warren Holloway Funeral Home with Dr. Kevin E. Partlow officiating and   Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home of Geneva, AL directing. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Geneva, AL. The family will receive friends at the funeral home starting at 10:00 a.m. until service time. 

Edwin, affectionately known as “Bubba”,  was born in Cambridge, MD on September 26, 1966 to the late George and Ernie Sims. As a young man, Edwin proudly served in the United States Army Reserves. Edwin’s passion for the arts was boundless. Edwin embraced artistry in all his hobbies, skillfully transforming anything into something functional and beautiful. He had a talent for drawing and crafting stunning pieces that anyone would be proud to display in their home. This passion fueled his career as a Retail Specialist in Interior Design, creating beautiful and memorable kitchens within many homes.  He found pleasure and peace in camping under the stars and connecting with the great outdoors. Later in life, he also developed a passion for cooking.

  Edwin is survived by his siblings, Jacqueline “Jackie” Magee of Geneva, AL, LaShawn Partlow (Kevin) of Shalimar, FL, Danielle Sims of Rochester, NY, Gary Sims (Amy) of Enterprise, AL and Tyrill Sims of Opp, AL,  Ruby Gibson (Michael) of West Palm Beach, FL and  Brad Shaw of West Palm Beach, FL; Special aunts and uncles, Cynthia Magnett of Utica, MS, Linda Cornish-Rhodes of Baltimore, MD, Shirley Wing-Shelton of Baltimore, MD, Keith Jarmon, Fall River, MD,  and Sherwood Jarmon of Las Vegas, NV; Special friends, Brenda Bess of Samson, AL and Dorothy St George of Geneva, AL; and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
