Eloise Howard Thomas of Daleville, AL went home to be with the Lord on Monday, June 08, 2026. She was 89.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 18, 2026 at Shady Grove Assembly of God Church, 1216 Shady Grove Rd., Coffee Springs, AL 36318, with Bro. Glenn Churchwell officiating. Burial will follow in Shady Grove Assembly of God Church Cemetery with Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home of Geneva directing. The family will receive friends at the church on Thursday beginning at 10:00 a.m.
Eloise was born on December 08, 1936 to the late James Grafton and Elva Esther Eddins Howard. She was a retired schoolteacher and was an avid flower gardener. She loved beautiful flowers and enjoyed growing them. She loved her family immensely and stayed in touch often. Eloise loved the Lord and supported her church, Shady Grove Assembly of God. Although her health didn’t allow her to be present physically, her heart was always there.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death her husband, Henry Allen “Hank” Thomas; one sister, Dorothy Joann Howard; one brother, James Harold Howard and one niece, Pam Motley.
Eloise is survived by her sister, Jimmie Howard Boldger of Lyons, TX; special nieces and nephews, Wendy Douglas, Greg Sasser, Chris Sasser, Christopher Bryan Sasser, Kristy Sasser; two special cousins, Glenn Churchwell and his wife, Bobbye and Mabel Ann Ashley; also a host of other cousins and extended family members and friends also survive.
