BLAKELY, GEORGIA. . .Erik Colton Rapozo, a resident of Hilton, Georgia, passed away early Thursday morning, April 16, 2026, in a Dothan hospital. He was 22.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 P.M. (C.D.T.) Saturday, April 18, 2026, in the Mt. Zion Methodist Church., 6251 North County Road 33, Columbia, AL 36319, with Pastor Joe Wyatt officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:30 P.M. (C.D.T.) Saturday in the church sanctuary. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Holman-Headland Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements.
Erik Rapozo was born in Donalsonville, Georgia and was raised in Columbia, Alabama and Hilton, Georgia. He was a graduate of Early County High School where he played football. Erik also attended Georgia Southwestern State University. He was currently employed by Piggly Wiggly/Brickyard in Blakely as Assistant Manager of the meat department. Erik was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Joyce Hilton McArdle and paternal grandparents, Carol Weissing and Charles Rapozo.
Surviving relatives include his mother, Michelle McArdle Chambliss (Patrick), Blakely, Ga; and his father, Greg Rapozo, Midland City, AL; brothers, Nick Rapozo, Porter Brackin, Patrick Rapozo and Isaiah Chambliss all of Blakely, GA: his maternal grandfather, Butch McArdle, Blakely, GA; uncles, Michael McArdle (Lana), and Brian Rapozo; an aunt, Maria Halstead (Harry); numerous cousins and close friends.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Porter Brackin, Jacob March, Garrett Roland, Billy Gray Roland, Nick Rapozo, Patrick Rapozo, Keontez Wimberly, Hugh Johnson, Shaun Howard, Charlie Harris and Isaiah Chambliss.
