Eudean Marie Brown, a master of stitches and sweets, passed away peacefully on December 24, 2024, at the grand age of 82, right where her story began, in Dothan, Alabama. Born on December 1, 1942, Eudean was the kind of person who added a pinch of love to everything, especially her legendary carrot and chocolate cakes that could sweeten even the sourest of days.

She was a creative soul, sewing and quilting her way into the hearts of many, leaving behind a tapestry of memories as colorful as her crafts. Eudean’s love story was one for the books; she married her sweetheart, Johnny Mack Brown, at the tender age of 15 in 1958, proving that when you know, you just know.

Eudean was preceded in death by her parents, Dewey Cobb and Minnie Henderson Cobb; husband, Johnny Mack Brown; 7 siblings; and granddaughter-in-law, Meghan.

Her laughter will be missed by her three children Twylia Busch (Stan), Clint Brown (Donna), and Diann Bryan (Steven), who were the apples of her eye, and her sisters, Jo Cobb and Merle King, who shared in her shenanigans. Eudean’s legacy continues with her grandchildren, Dwyane, Michael his wife Elizabeth, Rodney and his wife Amanda, Jessica, Tyler, and Christopher, and her great-grandchildren, Logan, Lawson, Jaxen, Georgia, Madison, and Bella, who will carry on her spirit of loving creativity.

Eudean was the life of every party, and though she’s taken her leave, the stories of her travels and the warmth of her loving nature will keep the laughter going. She’s probably already organizing a quilting bee in the sky, and heaven’s angels are in for a treat with her cakes. So, here’s to Eudean, a woman who stitched her love into the fabric of our lives, leaving us all a little more colorful and a lot more loved.
