Frances Joanne Heinmiller of Cottonwood, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 7, 2025, at the age of 88. Born on February 8, 1937, in Springfield, Ohio, Frances lived a life marked by love, faith, and creativity.

Frances was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Edward Murphy and Bessie Cox Murphy; her son, Benny Lawrence; her sister, Marlene Turner; her brother, Robert Murphy; and her grandson, Edward Bullion. Her memory will be treasured and kept alive by her family, including her daughters, Tina Pelles of Slocomb, AL, Carol Crampton (Terry) of Cottonwood, AL, and Leanna Gipson (Archie) of Cottonwood, AL. Frances was a special mother-in-law to Gay Lawrence of Cottonwood, AL, and a proud grandmother to Toni Whitehead, Jessica Crum, Jamie Spencer, Jenny Lawrence, Justin Gentles, Cindy Bullion, Morgan Bullion, Michelle Bullion, and Heather Alexander; and several great-grandchildren.

A devout member of the Southside Jehovah’s Witnesses of Dothan, Frances’s faith was a cornerstone of her life. She found great joy in studying her Bible and sharing her beliefs with others. Her artistic talents were evident in her beautiful drawings and paintings, which brought beauty and inspiration to all who had the pleasure of seeing them.

Frances’s adventurous spirit often led her on road trips, where she delighted in discovering hole-in-the-wall eateries and sampling their fare. These journeys were not just about the destinations but the experiences and memories created along the way.
