Gail Marie (Jamieson) Sanders

Gail Marie (Jamieson) Sanders, went to her heavenly home, Sunday, September 13, 2026, after bravely fighting cancer. She was surrounded by her husband of 30 years, her dogs Molly, Copper, & Oscar, and her family & friends.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, September 17, 2026, at Pilgrim Home Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Glover Funeral Home & Crematory of Dothan directing. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at Pilgrim Home Church the night prior to the funeral service.

Flowers will be accepted, or memorial contributions may be made to, New Promise Cancer Foundation, 287 Healthwest Drive, Dothan, AL 36303, or Southeast Health Cancer Services, 1922 Fairview Drive, Dothan, AL 36301.

Gail had a 42-year career in the medical field, starting out as a phlebotomist and finishing as the Blood Bank Supervisor at Southeast Health. She was a member of Pilgrim Home Baptist Church. Her hobbies were playing the piano, quilting, sewing, and going on cruises with her husband.

She is preceded in death by her father, John Earnest Richard Jamieson, I; her grandparents, Sam & Voncile Scott.

She is survived by her husband Roger Dale Sanders; her mother, Lenora Gail Scott Jamieson; her brothers, John Jamieson, II (Nancy), and Richard Jamieson; her aunt, Nona Gordon (Jim); her mother-in-law, Susan Sanders; her father-in-law, Donnis Sanders (Diane); her brothers-in-law, Henry Sanders (Alison), Shannon Sanders (Donna), and Brandon Sanders; and several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to express their gratitude to Dr. Blackmon and her staff at Dothan Hematology for the love and care shown to their loved one during this very difficult time.
