Mr. Glen David “Dave” Broxson of DeFuniak Springs, Florida went home to be with his Lord and Savior Sunday, October 19, 2025. He was 72.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 01, 2025 in the chapel of Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home in Geneva, AL with Rev. Harold Cline officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, November 01, 2025 beginning at 1:00 p.m. and continue until service time.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bellwood Baptist Church in Dave’s memory.
Dave was born May 22, 1953, in Enterprise, Alabama to Evelyn Faye Nichols Broxson and the late Sam Oliver Broxson, Jr. He was well known for his kindness and big heart. He was always giving to and caring for others above himself. Dave was a man of many talents, which included designing and building. Over his career, he became a vital asset to the company he worked for due to his dedication of service and commitment in providing excellent workmanship for customers. He loved spending time with family and friends, reading, watching Auburn football and the outdoors. Earlier in life, he enjoyed playing sports, fishing and golf. In recent years, he grew closer in his walk with the Lord and loved sharing his faith with others. Dave was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
In addition to his father, a brother-in-law, Dale McDuffie preceded him in death.
Dave is survived by his loving and devoted mother, Faye Broxson of Chancellor, AL; brother, Tommy Broxson of Chancellor, AL; sister, DeAnn McDuffie of Westville, FL; niece, Candice McDuffie (Jeff Landers) of Westville, FL; nephew, Jeffrey McDuffie (Dora) of Morgantown, WV; great niece, Amelia McDuffie of Morgantown, WV; special aunt, Carolyn Grubbs of Geneva, AL and special uncle, James “Jim” Nichols of Winter Haven, FL; a host of cousins, extended family and numerous friends.
