Glenda Anne Ray, a resident of Dothan, Alabama died Tuesday, September 8, 2026 at her residence. She was 88.
Memorial services will be held at 3 PM Saturday, September 12, 2026 in the Chapel of Ward Wilson Funeral Home with Reverend Ed Stuart officiating. The family will receive friends beginning at 2 PM prior to the service.
Glenda was born August 23, 1938 in West Virginia. She was raised in Huntington and later graduated from Marshall University with her degree. She moved to Dothan and started her career as a Safety Engineer with Michelin where she later retired. Glenda loved spending time cooking and Bluegrass music.
Glenda is preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Anna Marie Sharkey McLean.
Survivors include her husband, Charles Ray; children, Theresa Stanley (Jeff), Patricia Hudson, Laura John, Michael Sharky; seven grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; siblings, Anne Langdon, Mary Mac and Chris Eller.
