DOTHAN: The Dothan District 3 Associate Commissioner run off election is Tuesday, September 16. The polls will open at 7 AM and close at 7 PM.
Incumbent Bradley Bedwell was the leader in the race, but by a small number, was forced into a run off election with opponent David Haight.
We have seen Bradley Bedwell over the last four years and he has kept his promises in the election four years ago. When the Houston County Commission made the surprise move to sell the Houston County Farm Center, which is in District 3, Commissioner Bedwell got with D4 Commissioner John Ferguson and D5 Commissioner Gant Pearce. The City of Dothan owned part of the property and in a genius move they stopped the sell of the Farm Center. This saved the residents of having a unknown noise generator, apartment complex and other things in their neighborhood. And D3 Incumbent Commissioner Bradley Bedwell has not been afraid to vote NO on issues.
Until he ran RSN had never heard of David Haight. And RSN has still never met David Haight. So we researched him and found some very alarming things.
RSN reviewed David Haight FACEBOOK. Below are pictures and comments on his FACEBOOK which appear very disturbing. They appear racial and disturbing comments that Haight captioned on the pictures. Look below at pictures taken from the David Haight FACEBOOK.
Haight quoted Proverbs 15:22 on July 19 ” Plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisors they succeed”. He further wrote “the power of listening to all voices. I will listen intently”. Sounds good, but was not the case in the home owners association meeting. So if Haight would not listen to his neighbors do you think he will listen to the people of District 3?
One was his recent dictatorship in the home owners association of Hidden Lakes Subdivision. In dictatorship move David Haight raised the home owner’s dues and did not allow the residents any voice at all. And he did that with his David Haight for commissioner T-Shirt on. NO VOICE, just a increase shoved on the homeowners.
David Haight ran unsuccessfully for office in Florida. Do not know how he ended up in Dothan Alabama. After his home owner’s association meeting, where he was in charge, and his arrogance and dictatorship attitude, his FACEBOOK, his saying he is a “experienced” city planner, and “urban” designer with 30 years working experience for an international engineering and design firm headquarted in Canada and Tampa Florida.
It appears that he feels he knows everything. And this is dangerous that he will not listen.
The TAX INCREASE COULD COME during his tenure and could care less what the people think.
After careful review D3 needs to keep Bradley Bedwell as Associate Commissioner. But everyone needs to get out and vote.
