Harold Dean Burgett, Sr., a resident of Abbeville, Alabama, passed away Sunday, April 12, 2026, at his residence. He was 76 years old.
Memorial services will be held Thursday, April 23, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. at Whiteoak United Methodist Church in Eufaula, with Rev. Ronald Jernigan officiating. A visitation will be held Wednesday, April 22, 2026, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. in the Glover Funeral Home Chapel in Eufaula. Flowers will be accepted.
Harold was born on July 9, 1949, in Sawyersville, Kentucky, to the late Gardner and Alti Howard Burgett. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, horses, farming, driving race cars, antique car shows, and singing karaoke. Harold was a member of Whiteoak United Methodist Church and was very active in the food pantry.
He is preceded in death by his parents; three sons, Harold Dean Burgett, Jr., Scotty Burgett, and Dustin Burgett; sister, Delores.
Survivors include his fiancé, Vanessa Martz; son, Jeffery Burgett; brother, William Burgett, three sisters, Wilma, Charlene, and Nancy; five grandchildren, Kelsey. Emily, Jeffery, Anthony, and Harold; numerous nieces and nephews.
